Dhaka Central International Medical College is a private medical school in Mohammadpur Thana of Dhaka, Bangladesh, established in 2010. The college is affiliated with University of Dhaka as a constituent college.

Courses

The college offers a five-year course of study, approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Chittagong University. After passing the final professional examination, there is a compulsory one-year internship. The internship is a prerequisite for obtaining registration from the BMDC to practice medicine.

Dhaka National Medical College is an educational institution in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was founded in 1925 as the Dhaka National Medical Institute which was then situated near Bahadur Shah Park. It was inaugurated on 15 October 1994 and was opened to its first students. The college offers a five-year course of study, approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), leading to a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Dhaka University. After passing the final professional examination, there is a compulsory one-year internship. The Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital is the designated teaching hospital of the college. It has a 650 bedded multidisciplinary hospital complex adjacent to the academic building.

The other Govt. teaching hospitals are also used for the teaching & training purposes includes Chest disease Hospital, Cancer Hospital & Institute of Psychiatry & Infectious Diseases Hospital. Transport is provided to the students for this purpose.

Following successful completion of First professional MBBS examination, students are placed in different departments/units of the hospital for clinical training and ward-duties as per roster suggested in the BM&DC curriculum. Transport is provided to carry the students from the college to different primary healthcare centers and back as part of their clinical & community teachings. All disciplines carry evaluated post-graduate training by BCPS.

At present there is an 11 storied building with 14000 Square feet floor space in each floor. Total floor space 154000 Square feet with centrally air conditioned and 24 hours lift services. The college building has administrative sections, 8 departments, library, 5 lecture galleries, Examination Hall, one conference room, one seminar room, one teachers lounge, male & female students common rooms. The departments in the college are: Department of Anatomy, Department of Physiology, Department of Biochemistry, Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutic, Department of Forensic Medicine, Department of Microbiology, Department of Pathology, Teachers Room, Tutorial Room, Practical Laboratory and Museum. A separate fully air conditioned Anatomy Dissection Hall of 6,000 Square feet is also present in the department of Anatomy.nation
